Financial Controller / Analyst (0-2 Years)

As our financial controller/ analyst, you will be joining a small, dedicated team and working directly with our CEO and COO to manage our finance and accounting functions with a clear career trajectory to lead our finance department. Ideal candidates are analytical, give attention to detail with an eye for perfection, have a love for numbers, think out of the box and have vision to take calculated risks when needed.

Qualifications & Education

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in finance, accounting and/or commerce.
  • Sound functional knowledge of working in accounting ERP (Tally/QuickBooks)
  • Proficiency in MS Office (specially Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Experience/knowledge in accounting, payments, compliances and management finance.
  • Candidates who have worked in a similar profile or worked in finance in a start-up environment will be preferred.  
  • Knowledge/experience of start-up valuations + metrics, venture capital and due-diligence processes appreciated but not necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Working closely with top management for developing budgets, finance KPIs, projections and various analysis.
  • Working closely with our CS towards filing of compliances and audits.
  • Coordination with operations – accounting and reporting for daily cash & card collections, bank deposits and reconciliations.
  • Coordination with operations – billing reconciliation with vendors.
  • Vendor payments as per the approved policies and procedures.
  • TDS, service tax and local taxes calculation and payment.
  • Preparation of monthly bank reconciliation statement.
  • Book keeping and accounting on daily basis.
  • Preparation of reports in excel for management review.
  • Monthly closing of books and monthly MIS reporting.
  • Management of Petty Cash.
  • Preparation of payroll and handling of related compliances.
  • Coordination with HR for salary disbursal of employees.

As our community manager, you will be joining a small, dedicated team and working directly with our top management to develop a community of promoters within institutions we have partnered with. You will manage projects from start to finish and will have complete freedom to be innovative in your approach to solve the problems we present to you with a clear career trajectory to a leadership position in our marketing department. Ideal candidates think out of the box, have an extroverted personality, love connecting with people and are not afraid to get their hands dirty.

Qualifications & Education

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in any field.
  • Flexibility in travelling within the city on a daily basis.
  • Experience not required though candidates who have been very active on campus or have had previous marketing experience in a start-up environment preferred.
  • Strong project management/organisational skills.
  • Understanding of customer segmentation.

Responsibilities

  • Contributing to, and developing, marketing plans and strategies.
  • Evaluating marketing campaigns and monitoring competitor activity.
  • Working closely with top management for developing institutional partnerships and developing promoter communities within those partnerships.
  • Working closely with customers on a one-on-one basis and developing relationships.
  • Conceptualizing and executing activities/promotions to drive engagement and sales.
  • Taking feedback from communities and forwarding it to the relevant departments, assisting in turning feedback into service improvements and transforming users into promoters.
  • Liaising and networking with a range of stakeholders including customers, colleagues, college campuses and corporate entities.
  • Sourcing advertising opportunities and arranging effective distribution of marketing materials to attain max exposure within communities.
  • Monitoring ongoing campaign spend against the budget, keeping accurate records and highlighting where variances occur with management.
  • Conducting market research using secondary data, questionnaires and focus groups.
